PTFE Extruder 

First of all, the PTFE extruder is composed of a feeding system, a heating system, an extruder barrel and a die. The feed system heats PTFE pellets or powders to

a molten state and then delivers them to the extruder barrel.

 

Inside the extruder barrel is a rotating screw called the extruder screw. When the PTFE material enters the extruder barrel, the extruder screw starts to rotate to

push the PTFE material forward. During the pushing process, the extruder screw continuously heats and compresses the PTFE material to make it extrudable.

 

When the PTFE material reaches the end of the extruder barrel, it is forced into the die and extruded through the channels of the die. The shape of the die determines

the shape and size of the extruded PTFE product.

 

It should be noted that PTFE material has high viscosity and adhesion, which is easy to produce reflow and stagnation during extrusion. Therefore, the extruder barrel

and die must maintain a specific temperature and pressure to ensure smooth extrusion of PTFE material.
